Last night I took this picture of a red moon under a night sky. Most people call it a pixie moon because the twilight pixies consider this a holy time. The twilight pixies gather in celebration under the red moon and celebrate life. They believe that their race was created and born under a red moon. Twilight pixies, as you can imagine, only come out at twilight. They are nocturnal and thrive in the twilight through the night and of course sleep while the rest of Mars is awake during the day.
No one really knows for sure how the twilight pixies came to be, but since they are what they are it seems to make sense. Under the red moon they glow and entirely different color than their natural pale white and yellow light. Under the red moon they glow a golden red with such intensity that they can be seen far away. In the woods at night you can see them long before they see you but be careful; they are very fast and catching them is almost impossible unless you are very clever.
If you are spotted by one of these little creature they will play tricks on you. The trick they are most famous for is making you think you see things that aren’t there; a fleeting shadow, an illusion of something otherworldly or ominous. My race, the nexus, are know all over Mars. Because we are empathic healers the twilight pixies never harm us. I often heal them and spend time with them. They treat me like royalty and I am very happy to have such friends. At night if I am alone in the woods and have lost my way, all I have to do is call out and they will come to my rescue and guide me where I want to go.
Mars has so very many wonderful creatures and I know most of them. I am so blessed to have such friends they guide and watch over me. That’s not always the case for most people. While there are many wonderful and kind creatures there are bad and evil creatures as well. Goblins are vile mean creatures. The twilight pixies will watch the goblins from a distance and even chase them from their home if they get too close. You would think that for a creature no bigger than your hand and even smaller, that they would be powerless and defenseless. Don’t be fooled be stature.
The foreground is a pond with two dragonflies, but the red in the back of the picture is fog that was lit up from the red moon. As you can see the red light cast across our plante under this moon causes strange effects in color. (The twilight pixies are good at causing you to see strange things too.)
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the picture.
Love,
Shay
